Transmission Line Projects
If there was any doubt that LADWP wants our desert for their towers, this should eliminate it. Here is a recent California Public Utilities Commission map of newly proposed transmission line routes for Southern California. Notice the date of September 2007.
The Green Path North route identified here is the same route identified on all the other maps posted above. LADWP and their boss Mayor Villain Grossa are lying about the route not yet having been decided. They have applied for it and have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars promoting it.
Green Path North is real, and our desert is the target!

Here is the route we are very certain LADWP plans to use to implement their reprehensible Green Path North Project. It clearly demonstrates why Green Path should be called GREED PATH! All of the Hwy 62 and Hwy 247 communities, from Desert Hot Springs to Hesperia, will be adversely affected by these 200 ft. towers and buzzing 500 kilovolt power lines. These power lines will serve no purpose to the towns they will invade. L.A. Mayor Villain Grossa wants our lands for his benefit. "The Greenwashing of America"
Here are the most recent maps of the California Desert Conservation Area that we obtained from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM). Each red dot (solar) or green dot (wind) carries a CACA number, and represents an application by private energy corporations for Right Of Way access to public land - OUR LAND! Currently, there are 120 applications and growing. After they take our land, they will also force us to pay for huge grants, subsidies, and low interest loans which will vastly improve their profits. Does this make sense? Some of these solar projects will require the total scraping and destruction of thousands of acres of untouched, pristine publicly owned desert land. The plants and animals on this land will be gone forever! THIS IS NOT GREEN! To make matters worse, power line projects sited near these enormous "killing fields" will get
fast-tracked priority with diluted environmental impact studies and overall expedited land use revisions.
Green Path North is one of those power line projects!
L.A. Mayor "Villain Grossa" claims "green" credits to bolster his political future, even though much of the Green Path North energy will come from nuclear sources in Arizona, and cheaper coal/natural gas generation in Mexico. We get intrusive and destructive power lines and hundreds of thousands of acres of our desert permanently destroyed by energy giants. This is "greenwashing" like never before!
